Beth Shir Sholom—our name defines our mission.
We are a bayit, a home, for members and non-members alike,
a place of shir, song, poetry and creative expression
and a community of shalom, engendering peace for the world and for ourselves.

See the calendar section for a full schedule of events.
Friday, July 3 is Shabbat @ Home!
Because of the intersection of the July 4th weekend and Shabbat,
there will be no Shabbat gathering on Friday, July 3rd!
Still we hope that Beth Shir Sholom- nicks will choose to bring Shabbat with them into this weekend (and summer vacation weekends "on the road"). We've prepared some great material to make it easy to celebrate Shabbat and celebrate America at the same time! click here to access this material, or you can pick up a packet in the office or a packet can sent by mail. The material includes:
- Basic Shabbat Prayers (MP3 on website)
- Some of our Reflective Translations
- Discussion starters:
- Washington's Letter to the Jews
- Jewish roots of some American values
- One of Rabbi Neil's Ice Cream Stories for kids (and for anyone who
likes ice cream). The story is called "American Pie."
You can access the material by clicking here.
Shabbat Celebrations in July will take place in our Gan Shalom at 6:30 pm
(Optional BYO Picnic-5:30 pm)
Beginning in August and thereafter, Shabbat Celebrations will begin at 7:30 pm
Family Shabbat will begin at 6:00 pm on the first Friday of the month.
