The BSS VISION STATEMENT: 

Tikkum Olam.  Ongoing activities to make the world a better place.

Mission Statement of BSS Social Action Committee:

• To promote social justice and Jewish values
• To promote education and understanding of the issues
• To take action on relevant issues of concern

Current Areas of Concern:

• Homelessness (most immediate issue)
• Genocide in Darfur/Sudan

Current Action Items:

• We will work with Ocean Park Community Center on homelessness 
• We will choose specific dates and actions dealing with issue of homelessness
• We will invite BSS youth group to join us
• We will offer quarterly Shabbath Service on Social Action
• We will submit regular articles to the Koleynu on BSS Social Action activities and opportunities for participation
