ADULT EDUCATION
Beth Shir Shalom offers a variety of adult education classes to fit your interests. We have exciting and new opportunities to learn and read. Review some of the selections described below and join us in combining education with spiritual richness. Please sign up early as classes fill up and call the temple office for more information. * Torah Study, Classes Lectures and Workshops
Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 8:15-9:15 AM Led by Rabbi Neil
* Adult B'ney Mitzvah Preparation. For any beginning or continuing student in the Hebrew Reading classes. Requirements and guidelines are presented at the beginning of the year so that the B'ney Mitzvah preparation can take place within one school year.
Note: Candidates for Adult B'ney Mitzvah take both Hebrew and Judaica and must be members in good standing of Beth Shir Shalom.
* Crash Couse in Hebrew Reading
A five-week course focusing on prayer book Hebrew.
Held in the Fall, the course is free, sponsored by the National Jewish Outreach Program as part of Read Hebrew America.

* Movies that Matter. Showing films you may know and not know that touch the heart and mind, make a difference and inspire repair of the world.
* Social Action Task Force. The re-invented Social Action Task Force of Beth Shir Shalom Giving voice to our prophetic heritage! Call for information on the next meeting.

Adult Choir. If you love to sing, you're a perfect candidate to join our choir! Come experience inspiring music in camaraderie of spirit and celebration. Prior experience not necessary, just a love of sharing song.

Meaning: Helping the community understand the ethical issues of the day.
Tzedakah: Enabling Beth Shir Shalom to engage in actions of righteousness & justice.
Hope: Changing the world through a knowledgeable and committed Jewish presence.
There are other educational opportunities offered for adults that are available at different times throughout the year.
